How do I get to St Andrews?
Train: The closest mainline train station is Leuchars – from here there is a regular bus service to St Andrews, running approximately every 10-12 minutes. For people travelling in groups, shared taxis will be just as cost-effective. There is also a dedicated cycle route between Leuchars and St Andrews.
Coach: There are regular coach services to Glasgow and Edinburgh to St Andrews; all coaches and buses drop off at St Andrews bus station, which is only 6 minutes’ walk from the conference venue. Dundee is served by a wider range of coach destinations from across the UK.
Air: St Andrews can be easily reached from Edinburgh Airport (direct flights across the UK) or Dundee Airport (Logan Air, direct flights from Heathrow). The Jet 787 is a direct bus service from Edinburgh Airport to St Andrews, or alternatively the airport tram service takes you to Edinburgh Gateway or Haymarket, with rail connections to Leuchars. Dundee Airport is approximately 30 minute drive from St Andrews, and there are regular buses between Dundee and St Andrews.
Car: For those travelling by car, there is a free large public car park at Petheram Bridge close to the North Haugh campus. Parking in the town centre itself is often tricky.
Town: Once you are here, St Andrews itself very walkable. There is also a local in-town bus service (service 9B) and multiple taxi ranks through town.
